2 days, relaxed pace
1 to 11 people
From $2949
excl accomodation and meals
A 2 day adventure of natural attractions and amazing wildlife travelling along one of the scenic roads in Australia, before heading off to experience the wonder of the little penguins.
We’ll start with a leisurely drive along the beautiful Great Ocean Road, a 244 kilometre stretch with an amazing view around every turn. Explore quaint coastal towns, natural wonders, gorges, rockpools and view the spectacular Twelve Apostles. Your overnight accommodation is in the historic town of Queenscliff, from where, after breakfast, we’ll travel by ferry to the Mornington Peninsula.
Whilst on the ferry lookout for dolphins, pass golden sandy beaches, rugged coastline and clifftop mansions. From here, we can go to Red Hill Estate for wine tasting or go to Moonlit Sanctuary and hand feed the kangaroos and wallabies and see other native Australian animals. The highlight of your trip is that evening, where you’ll watch Australia’s largest colony of little penguins make their way home at sunset!
On this tour, you’ll love the beautiful scenery and cuddly wildlife and take advantage of regular stops to get plenty of selfies. Our experienced tour guides will share their knowledge of these regions and the stories that make it come alive.

Tour Highlights
The Twelve Apostles
One of Australia’s most iconic views. Enjoy the sight of the magnificent limestone sea stacks that rise from the Southern Ocean and form the official Twelve Apostles; currently there are eight Apostles left, the ninth having dramatically collapsed in July 2005.
These monoliths have been created by the constant erosion of limestone cliffs over 10-20 millions years ago; the stormy Southern Ocean and gusty winds have gradually eroded the softer limestone, forming caves in the cliffs, then arches, until rock stacks up to 45 metres high have been crafted, completely isolated from the shore. Nature in all its glory.
Queenscliff and the Sorrento ferry
You’ll enjoy breakfast at Queenscliff café, whilst taking in the views of the Entrance to Port Phillip Bay, surrounded by the Old Fortress. We then board the Searoad ferry and take the one hour long trip to Sorrento, on the Mornington Peninsula. Lookout along the way for dolphins swimming alongside the ferry and see houses of Melbourne’s rich and famous on the foreshore.
Penguin Parade Phillip Island
Marvel at the world’s smallest penguin in its natural habitat from viewing stands and boardwalks. Enjoy interactive and educational displays in the visitors centre. This experience is sure to be the highlight of your tour.
Loch Ard Gorge
The Loch Ard Gorge is a favourite stop off point along the Great Ocean Road. The picturesque gorge is flanked by two yellow-washed cliff faces, a smooth bay and inlet of clear, blue water. Wander the trail down to the Gorge, take in the natural beauty and view the location of Australia’s most famous shipwreck - the Loch Ard - and hear it’s story of loss and survival. Loch Ard Gorge is the start of the Apostles from the opposite end, where you can also see the Razor Back and Honey Pots rock formations.
Maru Koala & Animal (Wildlife) Park
Pat a koala, hand feed kangaroos and wallabies, see wombats, Tasmanian devils, dingoes, native birds and more. Make sure to have your camera ready to take advantage of the ample photo opportunities. Entrance is included.
Sorrento
Disembark the ferry at Sorrento where we will take a drive around the township. You will have the opportunity to do a secret beach walk and the London Bridge beach walk, taking in the spectacular views of Sorrento and the Mornington Peninsula from the cliff tops.
Point Nepean
This area is the southern point entrance to Port Phillip and the most westerly point of the Mornington Peninsula. Here we visit the Point Nepean Quarantine Station that opened in 1852 and is Australia’s second oldest intact quarantine station. Walk through the hospital and other buildings taking in the history and seeing what life would have been like if you lived or worked at the quarantine station.
