TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Fares

Fares are in Australian dollars, include GST (Goods and Services Tax).

Children ages 4 years and up to 14 years are regarded as children. Child fares apply.

Adult fares apply to persons 15 years and over.

Children 3 years and under are free if not occupying a seat (ie, must sit on parents/carer’s lap). If a seat is required, Child fares applies.

Bus driver penalty rates apply on Sundays and Public Holidays. Please check with the office for price confirmation.

Courtesy Pick Up Service

Our driver/guides will be outside your Hotel/Accommodation pick up destination 5 minutes prior to pick up time. We are to pick up from all Hotels in and around the Melbourne Central Business district. Due to parking restrictions and other logistical issues, we request that clients are on time. Should clients have unforeseen delays please advise the office as soon as reasonable possible ,so that adjustments can be made.

Should clients been delayed on pick up, the guide may have to miss an attraction due to work Safety Fatigue issues.

Our guides can only work a maximum of 11-11.5 hours in  a day from the time they arrive at your Hotel/pick up address and return to your Hotel/pick up address and return

If your Hotel/Accommodation pick up destination is not in the Melbourne central business district, please call our office on 04222-57446 and we will see what  alternative arrangements/suggestions, can be made.

Itineraries

Melbourne Touring Company reserves the right to alter the route or itinerary due to road, weather or group conditions. Melbourne Touring Company may be required to travel the Great Ocean Road in “reverse“ due to traffic conditions or special events held on the Great Ocean Road, such as Cycling events, car rallies, Rip Curl Surf Carnival, Lorne Pier To Pub swim etc.

Cancellation Policy

If notice of cancellation is received by the Company up to 72 hours (3 days) prior to the starting date of the tour the customer will forfeit 100% loss of fare incurred.

If cancellation notice is provided to the Company from 4 days to 7 days prior to the starting date of the tour the customer will forfeit 50% loss of fare incurred.

If cancellation is provided to the Company from 7 days to 14 days prior to the starting date of the tour the customer will forfeit 25% loss of fare incurred.
Should cancellation be provided from 15 days to 150 days before the tour date the client will be entitled to a 100% refund, less any unrecoverable expenses incurred by MTC.

MTC will make every effort to advise clients in advance of unrecoverable expenses, such as booking lunch venues and hotels.

Melbourne Touring Company reserves the right and may cancel tours due to unforeseen circumstances, therefore customers will be entitled to a 100% refund.

Child Safety

Melbourne Touring Company is not responsible for the provision, installation and securing of children and child booster seats, capsules and child restraints. Parents, guardians or the customer are required to ensure all children wear seat belts. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Adult Safety

Please advise your Driver of any medical conditions you may have or any prescription medication you are taking that may affect your health whilst on the tour. This information is required in the event of any medical assistance that is required. All information provided will be treated in confidence.

General

Melbourne Touring Company accepts no responsibility for any injury, illness, damages or loss of any type whilst on tour.
Melbourne Touring Company expects you to have a reasonable fitness and to act responsibly for your own safety.
We recommend all passengers take out personal travel insurance.

Melbourne Touring Company reserves the right to eject any passengers behaving in an inappropriate, offensive, intoxicated or destructive manner from the vehicle or to stop the vehicle until the situation is resolved.

Luggage Restrictions

On one day tours we expect clients to bring small day packs or carry bags.
Should clients wish to bring excess bags ,cool boxes, camping equipment please discuss with the office ,as there may be a safety concern with luggage  blocking emergency exits and/or become a projectile whilst driving.

In this case trailers will be provided at any additional cost

RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS

We believe that with great travel, come great responsibility ! Melbourne Touring Company reserves the right to sub-contract work to reliable , Accredited Industry partners and associates. All affiliated Companies will have a proven track record and necessary Accreditations/Insurances to ensure safety and amazing experience.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY

By agreeing to participate in any experience/s operated by Melbourne Touring Company Pty. Ltd. or any of its subsidiaries, guests acknowledge there may be a reasonable degree of risk associated .Melbourne Touring Company  has comprehensive $20,000,000 public liability insurance and comprehensive risk assessment and management policies and procedures in place to ensure a reasonable duty of care has been met.
